Branch History
1981 The Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance Co. (UK), obtained the license in Italy and began activity in Milan via an underwriting agent.
1988 Start the cooperation with Allianz Pace.
1996 Allianz Pace changes the name to Allianz Subalpina after the merger with Unione Subalpina.
2002 The Tokio Marine changes the company’s name to Tokio Marine Europe Insurance Limited (TMEI)
2002 RasService, established by Allianz Subalpina and Ras (AS’s parent company), starts to handle the claims of TMEI.
Profile
TMEI Italy Branch has an operational contract with Allianz Subalpina (Allianz/Ras Group), and on this contract cooperates with them using their high-level risk management system, technical service, engineering service, etc.
Insurance Products
TMEI Italy has a license to underwrite the following lines of business;
Property (Fire, Theft, EDP, CAR, EAR), Liability, Personal Accident, Sickness, Marine.
TMEI has no license to write compulsory Motor Liability (R.C.A.)
Claims Products and Services
TMEI Italy, utilizing RasService, a claim handling company of the Allianz/Ras group, takes advantage of their professional service and their national network of surveyors and lawyers.
TMEI Italy can construct other claim handling procedure/structure on demand on the clients’ special request.
Loss Prevention Services
TMEI Italy uses both Allianz engineering service and TMEI in-house Risk Engineering service depending on the clients’ demand, on the risk type.
